Two of Swords, OppositionsTarot
"You have an important choice that could affect the lives of others, so think well, deeply, coldly"
It seems as we 'took some right action' yesterday, today the cards pull back a bit on the action part.
The intensity and gravity of the situation remains though - in terms of 'standing on the right side' of matters.
And what is the right side?
The one were we can stand tall and strong in our authentic identity.
How do we know it?
We need to paus, sit down and go with in. Shut our eyes and don't look with our eyes, and feel it our heart and gut. Cut through to the heart of the matter.
In challenging matters, when the pull from our 'old personality' is strong, we might even have to put a blindfold on as to help ourselves to go 'beyond the surface' and the illusion or distortion our eyes can present to us because of programming and 'indoctrination'.
Maybe and probably we need to do the opposite of what others want and secretly or not so secretly expect of us.
Maybe and probably we need to muster the courage to wholeheartedly go in a different direction than our 'former self' would have gone. And that might be the 'important choice' the card speaks about. To not just walk the path we know we must walk, but do it wholeheartedly - proudly. With no excuses or explanations to those that assume or presume we should or would choose differently and maybe also CHOOSE to 'get hurt' or disappointed by our choices.
Following an urge to explain or excuse ourselves to people who don't share our passion for making authentic choices (to not hurt for example) helps no one. And especially; it undermines our own work and our integrity.
This might be particularly challenging in family dynamics, were old wounds and patterns are easily triggered, and "unwritten societal do:s and don't:s" are prevalent.
It takes shit-loads of courage and integrity to 'oppose' our roots.
