Calibrating our North Star, adjusting to inner guidance - 'growing up'!

I don't know if you're familiar with the Schitty family, but the woman on the card maybe isn't the 'sharpest knife in the box' ':)
A lot of shallowness and superficiality, and quite some naivety. Mostly because of upbringing and circumstances of course - as there's a super sweet lovely innocent soul right below it!

It seems like we're turning away from (reversing) some 'childish behavior'! Taking responsibility for our behavior and actions more - even 'before it happen' so to speak. Were we before might have 'jumped into it just for fun' ('what's the harm') we now see (admit) the shallowness in some of our impulses.
Even if it might not 'harm' - it does NOT Serve. Anyone.

That old pattern of "innocently" wasting (spilling) precious energy.
We named it "innocent" in our heads and maybe even out loud, not wanting to admit we we're just "playing dumb" - we were thirsting for #attention
Of course our 'fun' actions were followed by uncomfortable consequences.
The attention received wasn't at all the kind we wanted. Either we ended up entangled in people, things or circumstances so out of alignment with our soul (true wants and needs), or in chains of excuses or explanations - "but I didn't mean to/that..."
We got filled with very 'icky' feelings - NOT because of the actions of others, but because WE betrayed or trampled all over our souls. For an ounce of attention, recognition or lime-light.

Now we're here again - will we choose the attention (instant brief gratification #dopamine #fix ) or #TheHighRoad ?
It sems like were ready for the latter :)
