A Joy of living having it its source in breaking the rules!

Yesterday we had the Ten of Cups. From the Disney Villains Tarot, which I didn't really comment on or weave into the writing. It pops out today though!

Our happiness is achieved in a somewhat "bad" or naughty way - hence the Villain theme yesterday.
Or rather, as presented here: in some sense we have broken the rules to achieve this joy and sense of fulfilment!
Either by going against tradition, or even - going against OUR OWN rules..!
(like leaving your phone on and getting up in the middle of the night to give your neighbor a ride home though you've made a promise to yourself to always have your phone in flight mode at night time, as undisturbed nights are VERY important to you)

Yep, sometimes rules are meant to be broken. Most obviously the right out wrong and outdated ones, but sometimes even the right ones!

"Know the rules well, so you can break them effectively." ~ Dalai Lama XIV

If we truly know why the rules are there we also know - or feel - when it is right to make that famous exception from them.
If we are stubborn or rigid with our rules we just won't. (Ever heard the classic 'rather be right than happy'...? Fits perfectly here :) ).
Or if we are programmed to 'follow, no questions asked' and therefore feel we've done something terribly wrong if we don't - then fear will hold us back from having the courage to step up and break the rules despite being in a situation that clearly asks for it.

Not that it is a 'happily ever after moment' - like everything, this 'bliss' too shall pass - but boy what a mile-stone!
Therefore - instead of lamenting that the joy will eventually wear off, or even MAKING it so by searching for 'faults' - let's bask in this quite palpable success!
WE created it - by knowing which rules to break, and when and how!
