The Empress, Hobbit Tarot

Love has no need to possess (nor control).

The word that caught my eye immediately for the reversed interpretation was "possessiveness", ss the cards for a couple of days have been alluding to an 'other's businesses orientation' and a need to 'shield ourselves off'.
A need to focus less on what others do, and more importantly - what we THINK others should do, or be ,:)

Others have their journeys and their challenges that they have - or 'should' have - full freedom to navigate as they please and feel that they need.
For the moment being at least, we have no reason to bog ourselves down in others' behavior or choices or ponder 'how we can help' - we have our own journey and quest to focus on!
Sometimes even a 'brotherhood' has to split up and take some different routes for a bit. To meet again later on - or not.
It's not for us to decide or try to control.

Yesterday the two women withdrawing into a 'cool place'. Today a couple of dwarfs and a hobbit sitting in a council with a wizard - Gandalf himself - they better listen to his advice!
Like we better listen to the advice of the cards - focus on OUR journey and 'greater mission'. Not get lost in details or our companions too much - difficult challenges affect all differently, and many parts we have to go through alone in our own way. To learn what we have to learn. And we have NO idea what others need to experience and learn.

We now need to monitor ourselves closely, and make sure we're not misusing that which we call Love.
It's very likely some fear in us wanting to control and possess, masquerading it as 'care', 'help' or 'nurturing'.
A deep-seated fear of being abandoned, discarded, alone or 'not of use'.

It might also want be expressed in a 'rock the boat way'. Whatever this frightened part need to do to get some attention or 'information' it will make up an excuse for it!

So the advice is to be on the lookout for any proposed action coming from inside carrying a lot of explanations and justifications - especially 'well intended' ones!!
Possessiveness IS active - we do ourselves a huge favor if we admit it, and own it :)
