The Emperor, Venetian Carnival Tarot
Put on a mask and pretend you have control - you've got this!
Maybe the sense of uncertainty is a comfort zone for us?
That's how a dysregulated nervous system or a trauma response works - searches for or creates that which we are (were) used to, that which we are (were) conditioned to feel comfortable with.
This can make us add that "but...", and focus on the parts that are not yet solved, the things we not yet can, the things we not yet know. For some reason this gave us comfort 'back then'. Maybe it was how we got that longed for attention, or maybe we felt we needed to 'shrink ourselves', to hide or let others shine more.
Whatever reason it was for our survival in one sense or another, and it 'got stuck' (programmed into our nervous system).
This might be what we're guided to ponder over today!
What is it that's comforting with uncertainty?
How has uncertainty helped us in the past? (just like drugs or any addiction isn't the 'problem', but rather the WHY we feel we need it, and what it 'helps' us with or give us #GaborMate )
Why is it hard to let the uncertainty go - what are we afraid might happen?
Or - what is embedded in the word 'control' for us?!
Why are we having such a hard time feeling we have control?
Why are we so afraid of not knowing (enough) and not having control?
#conditioning
Spoiler alert: we don't need to know e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. to have control of our lives - it's enough we have (reasonable) control over and (true) knowledge about ourselves :)

It might be that we have more control right now than we're comfortable acknowledging, so we're (unconsciously) searching for reasons not to be. Why it's worth trying to put on a mask and play with the idea that we actually have 'enough control/authority' for the time being - sufficient control over ourselves in whatever situation we're in that is :)
