Remaining in control through a sense of 'falling away'

It might not be a "big" thing that falls away or ends.
It might be a pattern that no longer serves us, but pains us deeply to part with - because who are we without it?!
It might be a part of a relationship. The intimacy part of a relationship falling away, or a relationship moving into another 'phase' for example - maybe leaving the phase where everything is just so simple to enter into a more 'complex' phase, where old patterns and fears become more and more loud.

Leaving us with a not so harmonious feeling maybe ,:)

All is well though!
It's just a matter of development and unfolding. Involving a "little death".
It's not 'disharmony' we feel. It's the discomfort of a 'transition we are not prepared for' or fully accepting, no matter how prepared we actually are - Death has a tendency to surprise us and affect us in that way. 

Just like we KNOW that relationships go through phases, and yet we 'react' and are overcome with a sense of sadness or even mourning over 'how it used to be'.

Instead of loosing ourselves in narratives about what that 'used to be' looked like - that is, in our mind repeating to ourselves all the things we might have lost - the much healthier choice is to focus on THE FEELING (and NOT stories ABOUT it).
BE with the sadness - not judging it, not adopting a sense of victimhood because we feel it (but not want to).

Nothing has 'happened to us'!!!
It's a matter of natural and circular development - death and rebirth.
Let's not judge, blame or repress Death, and let's not deny it and hurry towards rebirth - let's move through this with authority and discipline!
