Ten of Swords, Magic Manga Tarot
This was one of the first 5 decks I bought, back in 2014 or so.
I'm quite fond of the imagery in it, which departs from the traditional in a lovely way and make the wheels turn in my intuitive processes!
Traditionally S10 shows a man face down on the ground, with ten swords stuck in his back - it can't get much worse than that.
With that in mind I look at this image - a fellow about to open a letter.
Are we afraid of receiving a message? Terrified it will be telling us something we don't want to know?
Nah, my intuition tells me to search on.
The opposite maybe/rather - we feel like we're on rock bottom, and unexpectedly receive some kind of comforting words?
Because I read for the reversed: "temporary gain, favor"
Maybe it's not a message that 'makes it all go away', but one that at least give us "temporary" relief.
Gives us a sense of hope - that we're not all broken, lost and 'un-healable'.
The message speaks to the ever searching part in us, always alive no matter how low we feel.
There is an unmistakable resolve and determination in the man's look and body language. Glasses are on because we want to see more clearly.
We really want to 'feel better', but we really need these little nudges and reminders before we can rise.

I don't feel that this card describes my current state, but I think I have it in my vicinity.
