Strength + Eight of Swords, Romantic + Decameron
Releasing ourselves from the need to fight, catch, control and work ourselves to exhaustion - in favor for a more unconditional and open approach to life.
I can't help but smile!
Yesterday I wrote about the importance of 'softly embracing the feminine', inspired by the sensitive hug shown in the Lovers card.
Today we see the traditional/rational/masculine interpretation/way of 'doing' this?!
We see how the embrace becomes a chasing, hunting and catching - blood, sweat and tears!
Toiling - a quite laborious task.
This so mirrors society and the underlaying mindset of today!
It shows how 'doing' and 'work' is supposed to look.
How we're told and taught to 'fight for what we want', to 'go get it'.
That strength is about power, control and muscles.
But we're turning this around now - at least for ourselves!
We're done fighting.
We're done 'proving ourselves'.
Done toiling and sweating 'just because' (...we're told so, or because 'everybody else is').
We know there's another way of 'doing'.
Maybe it's not easier (as it involves 'breaking patterns'/'breaking free') - but it for sure is a less exhausting way of living - and certainly more fulfilling!
An inversed way of looking at and relating to life (nature and the universe).
