Scythe + Temperance, Far Sight + Bones

Time for harvest, what are you waiting for? Feeling ready and comfortable?! You won't!

Temperance.
"now is a good time to venture into new territory, but not so far that you can't get back to familiar ground quickly"
Reversed.
This is NOT a time to 'stick to the shore', or lean on training wheels?
Sometimes we actually DO need to take quantum leaps, and fully leave that "familiar ground" behind? And not nervously keep looking back over our shoulders.
How would a birth look if the baby didn't fully leave 'the familiar territory' of its mother's womb?!

Further, we see some kind of 'opposites attracts' in the Temperance card. Day and night. And ponds on each side mixing their waters. Mixing two such different things cannot feel like 'familiar territory'!
Blending fluids represents an irreversible process of some kind - of course it's scary!
Once the mixing is started, there IS no "going back".
AND - mixing "opposites"?!
That could actually 'change us forever', and that is always frightening.
Or are we afraid that it will change us in ways we don't want?
Or is it the TOO different thing that freak us out? 

Especially terrifying now when we've finally begun to know who we are - risking 'loosing our shit' again isn't THAT appealing! At all!
Our system desperately looks for 'facts' (Bones) - would prefer something "known and tried" to hold on to!

And yet, where we are is a result of all our hard work on ourselves - months and years of 'preparing soil and planting seeds'.
It's inevitable that things actually finally grow, and eventually leads up to this moment - harvest. Or, attracting totally new things into our lives.
Does it maybe feel like a "be careful what you wish for moment"?!
"Give me just a little more time, please...?!"
Do we feel a little like being caught off guard? Like we haven't truly seen how we have grown lately, and how things have changed and shifted around us - like watching little ones suddenly being grown ups, doing grown up stuff!

Whatever (or whoever) this "opposite" to us is - it looks like we do best in 'harvesting the opportunity'?
Scary now, but good for the long run (Far Sight).
Maybe it WILL change us forever.
Maybe that's the whole point? :)
