Nine of Swords, Servants of the Light Tarot

23.10.2022

Feeling like you're in a precarious and exposed situation, doing your utmost to persuade god to help you out?!

I don't think faith will get you out of this one :)
I makes me think about yesterday's cards - the lady creating her own misery.
The lady who "got stood up", remember?
She took it personally, she thought about herself as abandoned, she thought about it as a great loss and disappointment - heavily affected by 'things not turning out her way/they way she wished them to'.

Again we have the swords theme.
Thinking about our situation 'not to our favor'?
Or as the traditional S9 - 'allowing terrible thoughts keep us awake and in anguish'.

And instead of curiously questioning the things our "meaning making machine" (excellent term by #TheAnxietyMD ) produce, we totally buy them. Instead of tracing the thoughts back to it's roots, we readily accept them as truths (though they make us feel like shit) - and turn to God to 'help us out of it'?!
Wow, isn't that just the definition of intelligence and logic ;)

Why not focusing a little more on the light surrounding you and pouring out from you, than the swords pointing at you?

I read, "although you may be in the depths of despair, you will live to make jam another day" (LWB)
The text for this card made me chuckle a bit! I don't really like this deck or it's (otherwise) strange and stern interpretations, but this one turned out to be a pleasant exception :)

Reversed, "your jam may well poison someone"
Let's not poison people today?! Let's instead reverse it as in 'turn this around', shall we? :)

"Holding onto anger or resentment is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die"

The world (human kind) really and truly need our light now!

Deck: #ServantsOfTheLightTarot
