Nine of Pents + Ace of Pents, Vampyres + Oppositions

When we stretch ourselves 'in alignment with our souls' it doesn't lead to brun-out like it does when we do it out of fear or 'obligation' - it leads to fulfilment and growth.

That's how it can feel when we're growing, healing, and creating new experiences for ourselves - and writing over old ones.
When we meet and respond to challenges in a new way. 
When we wait to respond until initial (trauma) reactions has settled.
When we give time to allow, accept and embrace all our reactions, before we act.
When we are gentle and compassionate with ourselves for our 'shortcomings'. 
When we are curious about our reactions rather than shaming or blaming them.

That's how a new life can be created!
That's how 'new resources' can be born, or rather: existing ones unlocked.
By releasing capacity, energy and resources previously in the grip of our ego, our shadows, our fears, our defense mechanisms, or the frightened parts of our personality. Whatever name you give them :)

It's such a sense of freedom and fulfilment to leave a survival based life behind.
A life were the primary thing is to 'hold on tight', to hoard, to 'struggle for survival' - and wear it like some kind of badge.
We see the grey lifeless hand wanting to pull the treasure down into the ground. Into the darkness were it hides from light, and life.

Oh the feeling of 'leaving all struggles behind'!
Of 'entering into the light'. 
Of realising 'there's another way'!

We can each chose 'what we want to grow in our garden'.

It takes a considerable amount of determination and courage to make the switch, to rewrite inherited and ingrained narratives, to break with tradition. 
It can 'be draining', as there are parts in us actually 'leaving us'. 
Outdated parts leaving or 'changing jobs'.

It's a bittersweet feeling to 'grow up', to 'become the opposite of what we used to be', to 'enter a new phase'.
