Faltering or fading assertiveness, boldness or motivation?

There seems as if someone is having either second thoughts, or is second-guessing himself - is it we or another?

"Very passionate and fiery. Persistent. Motivated. Adventurous. Assertive. Bold."

It begun like that, but something 'happened'.
Uncertainty has crept in.
Is it doubt regarding our own current capacity or 'status' - fear of being 'too broken', not ready, not enough - that has affected our connection with our 'bold drive' and 'love of adventure'. So that part of us wants to 'bail out' #IFS
Or is it true faltering of motivation and passion - a sense of 'having moved too fast/hastily', bordering on regret.
