King of Cups + Four of Pent's, Âme + Ethereal Visions
When we refrain from immediately acting on behalf of primal and instinctual forces (yesterday's cards) wounds might awaken. Triggering reactions of irritation, anger, or...(emotional) insecurity.
Again.
Below the impulse to act there might very well be an authentic inspiration or even calling, but layers of conditioning makes us (or another) (re)act impulsively on the sensation. Not realising or considering that there's 'flight' and fear infused in the perceived 'excitement'.
Anytime there's a sensation of 'urgency' things are most likely colored by some kind of fear.
So when we resist the desire to act on the impulse - or respond on another's - and instead #pause , this fear comes to the surface.
It may surface in the shape of anger, irritation, sadness, or emotional insecurity.
Anger or irritation - the ego feels 'caught in the act' - we unconsciously know there's not just something we're running towards, but also something we're running from.
Sadness - some kind of unworthiness have the time to surface thanks to the pause.
Insecurity - the pause gives space for ingrained doubt to speak up. A fear that we will or are about to loose something we desire (and the immediate action would of course have hindered that ':)).
Unconsciously we now all this is brewing inside, hence the need to never pause, but forever run - to prevent the fear to catch us...
We pretend we don't know why things keep 'happening to us', why we feel so busy, and we name it 'spontaneity'.
If it's us: an excellent time to embrace what has surfaced! Realign with the knowing that 'what's meant for us will come to us'.
If it's the other: give space, and time. For things to settle in them. Trust 'they'll come around'. No lectures! Embrace them 'were they're at'.
