Four of Swords, Shapeshifter Tarot
A period of "merging".
The other day I wrote about being divided.
That phase when one has learned a lot about one's true self but when one is still 'playing old roles', acting habitually from old beliefs and an ingrained mindset though knowing its outdated!
How we act in 'the old usual way' with people who have known us for a longer period of time.
It just happens!
Sometimes it takes a long time before we realise it even!
Maybe only as a slight discomfort in our tummies, as our 'old ways quietly creep up on us' ':)
Other times it can be more like a switch - suddenly we're just in it. The old us. It happened so fast that we afterwards can't see how we even could've avoided it! ':)
Oh, 'I will never be able to change' one might be inclined to think.
One part of us that is #InternalFamilySystems
That part that likes to 'give up/give in'.
But things ARE changing.
Awareness is a first great step!
At first the awareness might come afterwards, but eventually it will come during, and then before - when it's about to happen.
No reason to beat ourselves up no matter when or where we become aware.
Gentleness is another great key in the 'merging process'.
The process of merging our growing capacity for being with our doing, so that they no longer are two separate things.
Mindfulness is not something one do, it's a way of being.
It's a western left brain thing to DO yoga and meditation.
The journey is to BECOME meditation and contemplation!
To make it the foundation. A way of living.
It's the most fulfilling way of living there is.
It's how nature 'does it'.
