Five of Swords + Ten of Swords, Eden + Tree

The pain of being the one who wakes up in copdependency.

This peculiar deck again - Eden Tarot.
With interpretations like no other deck! But I get to that later.

The S5 is usually about conflict. A situation were there are no winners. Were, even if you "win" you can't feel it, or you can't enjoy it because of some apparent 'damage done'.

This can for example happen if you get entangled with another through your trauma patterns or in each others' South Node stories. Seldom a 'clean dialogue', but ones driven by unconscious fears and attempts to move the responsibility to the other - unconsciously of course.
And then it especially happens if only one of you 'wakes up' and realize what is happening and wants to change, or even end, things.
Because you suddenly or for some reason feel that your 'happiness is declining', and realize that it is because you've entered old patterns of codependency. You then (maybe even clearer) see it in the other, and how you are obviously slowly pulling each other down. Deeper and deeper into your individual patterns, which just "happen" to match each other.
At first it seemed like attraction, but it is becoming clearer by the day that it is a matter of 'matching wounds'

The cards show exactly how awful it can feel and become when only one wakes up...
The one who doesn't see the patterns and is stuck in victim mode will NOT take it well.
And if that part isn't the slightest interested in or ready to 'wake up' it can become quite ugly - covertly or overtly.

You may be successful ("win") in extracting yourself from the situation or relationship (which is YOUR only way forward), but you WILL leave a mess behind you. It just CAN NOT be resolved "mutually". The other WILL "get hurt", no matter how you present it. Shower you with guilt, or accusations. Or both.

Having these patterns ingrained in you, it WILL feel like "rock bottom" (S10) in the moment. The accusations will FEEL real. You will feel like shit and A piece of shit.

But knowing the mechanism, you can transform it, and GROW (Tree Tarot).
