To adapt or not - and how?

I'm both good at it, and not so good - Adaption.

One minute I'm super flexible and the next: 'but this wasn't what I planned to do today...' accompanied by a 'weight of the world' kind of sensation.

I've been pondering this lately, so I love that this comes up for further contemplation.
It's so spot on.
It talks about "the carrot and stick method". When we try changing a behavior without addressing the INNER root cause. Causing "a purely conditioned response without assisting inner development". 
Trying to 'get rid' of a 'bad behavior' for example, instead of getting to the root cause which the behavior is a (albeit maybe destructive) solution to. 

Addressing the source renders the so called 'bad behavior' superfluous, unnecessary. Trying to solve it 'behaviorally' only adds to the repression and 'running away', and WILL create more pressure/problems (sickness).

Not always of course. Sometimes the 'good behavior' (Adaption) one tries to implement instead of the 'bad' one is so aligned with ones soul that 'it all shifts' - but that's rather the exception than the rule!

Adaption NOT in alignment with ones path and configuration - done to fit in, to be accepted, to look good, escape discomfort etc. - leads to "conditioned response" (and continued 'problems').

Central piece: Acceptance.
The universe uses "pressing, hurting, shaping, opposing" to make us grow.
To push us until we "turn around and accept the difficulties, loss, and pain of the process of adaption".

Whenever we feel pushed it's a sign.
To check our direction, our mindset, our choices, our emotions, our reactions.
Our alignment with core/source - with Love.
