Five of Cups, Sun and Moon Tarot
For one reason or another we get the opportunity to contemplate the theme of disappointment today - yay!
Maybe something or someone from the resent or distant past is revisiting us in the present, or something occurs that 'triggers a disappointment from the past'.
Whatever it is, it's something we haven't fully let go of.
But maybe we are ready for that now?
Maybe it is that we've 'gotten some distance to it' (cups floating away) without even really trying, or rather - without forcing it.
Or rather: BECAUSE we didn't force it!
Because we've worked with ourselves and found the true source to the disappointment - some long held belief inside, imprinted when we were small and 'couldn't see for ourselves' (no eyes on the figure).
We're finally coming to terms with the fact that no one can actually disappoint us!
People can say or do stuff - but the disappointment? It already lives is us! (Proof: the same thing doesn't disappoint everyone)
Others can TRIGGER it, yes.
Can it be on purpose even? Yes (but the words/actions are most certainly rooted in trauma - coming from a hurt and frightened person).
But still - it's an invitation and opportunity to come to terms with (and heal/transform) the sense of disappointment living in us.
AND, an invitation to ponder which kind of energies and people we want to have around us.
An invitation to ponder how much of others' trauma we should 'tolerate' - how much we can and should handle.
We can and should not try to change another, but we can choose how and when we interact.
It very much includes letting go.
I read: "Letting go of old emotional problems in order to experience transformation".
Letting go of thoughts no longer serving us. Letting go of thinking we can change others. Letting go of thinking we need to be responsible for others' emotions.
Letting go of thinking we have a problem :)
A process very likely involving sadness and grief.
True change does, as it requires something old to die.
It may feel as a loss - like something drifting away from us - but it's all a natural part of the flow of life.
Let's embrace the beauty in the #transformation process!
Something dying always become fertile soil for something new.
